Gorgeous Commission

I was recently contacted by someone that I had drawn a portrait for a few years ago and with a new dog she wanted a new commission, I was, of course, delighted to help. as usual I began with a few sketches in charcoal and graphite wash to get to know the dog and to work out the composition.

The finished drawing was to be a pen sketch so, having chosen the best pose with the client, I drew a very quick pen sketch just to make sure

With the client happy I then proceeded to create the final portrait.
